Autumn Fair – Thank You

This past Saturday there was a buzz of excitement from students enjoying carnival rides, and exceptional dance and music performances were enjoyed by large gatherings on the Fahl Garden. Homemade international food stalls led by our parent community had people lining up for more!

Among highlights was the Dunk Tank, where teacher volunteers, including Principal Mr Sean Corcoran and Head of Junior School Mr Ari Guha, took part to support the Class of 2023 Legacy Gift, proceeds going toward the Dr Sue Morey AM Scholarship.

Thank you to the MANY volunteers and alumni who joined us on the day and supported this extraordinary event in so many different ways.

Jeff Brown (School Captain 2016, Treasurer of the Redlander Alumni Association) enjoyed chatting with notable alumna Dr Sue Morey AM and despite the years between them, they both had memories of learning in the 100 years old Liggins Building as well as at Harvard University!

A very special thank you to Natalie Davies (Riches) RL 1987 and President of the Redlander Alumni Association. She gave generously of her time to coordinate the Alumni Cafe and archival displays which sparked curiosity about the School’s rich heritage, and the legacy each era has passed down to future generations of Redlanders.

We were delighted to welcome past School Captain Izzy Simpson and past Captain of Hockey Yasmin Gupta, both RL 2020. And a very special thank you to Kylie Abineno RL 1991 and her family for the incredible help in packing down the Cafe at the end of a very hot day. Kylie attended Redlands from Transition through Year 12, and can remember many classes in the Liggins Building including library lessons which were taught by current grandparent Mrs O’Neill!

Liggins Restoration Appeal

A sincere thank you to all members of our community who generously supported the Liggins Restoration Appeal. The Liggins Building is the only remaining element of our school grounds linking almost 100 years of Redlanders.

A significant schedule of works has been undertaken during the holiday break which included the refresh and upgrade of classrooms, a home for Languages. The second stage is currently in place to further refurbish the top floor which will also be a communal area with an incredible Heritage wall acknowledging our 140 year old history. There is still an opportunity to contribute and make a donation towards a Family Plaque. For more information about our Heritage or how you can support us, please visit HERE.
