Commissioning of new Principal in Fahl Garden
We were delighted to host the Commissioning of the 12th Redlands Principal, Mr Sean Corcoran, in the Fahl Garden, the outdoor space in front of the Learning Hub. This beautiful area was open to students and staff in 2021 as the final part of the Master Plan Stage 1 redevelopment and is a memorial to a former student of the School.
The morning was filled with great joy and it was a privilege to experience firsthand the traditional smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country conducted by First Nations leader Mr Brendan Kerin and to hear blessings given to Mr Corcoran by Kanishka Raffel, Archbishop of Sydney, the Right Reverent Chris Edwards, Bishop of North Sydney, and other members of our community – staff, parents and Alumni.
Celebration of Academic Achievement and Academic Growth
We were delighted to welcome back to campus Redlander Alumni from Class of 2022 who achieved exceptional results and personal growth in their final exams. Current Year 11 and 12 students were able to hear some reflections from our newest Redlanders. Their message was to aspire high, remain connected with your friends and reach out to your teachers. They are there to support you.
Mr Corcoran spoke about his journey at Redlands, starting when the Class of 2022 commenced Secondary School in Year 7. He also mentioned growth in the context of our campus and reflected on how the Learning Hub has transformed the way of teaching and learning. See below before and after.
International and Interstate Alumni Chapters
We regularly connect with Redlanders across Australia and the globe. These events enable Redlanders to meet each other across our diverse community and we provide participants with updates on recent developments at Redlands. Redlanders are always very keen to learn how much has their School has advanced since their time here.
