Redlanders Visited the Science Fair

Last week we were delighted to welcome Zoe Thompson (School Captain 2016, DUX IB) and Dr Sue Morey AM (School Prefect and Cowper House Captain 1959, DUX) back to campus to hear about their journeys. Zoe is currently visiting Sydney while on holidays before she goes back to Canada to continue her medical training at the University of Toronto. Zoe has volunteered to mentor and support other young alumni living in Canada, particularly if they are intending to pursue tertiary studies at one of the North American Universities. It was lovely for her past teachers to also catch up with her, including Dean of IB Mr Darren Taylor and Science Teacher Ms Kim Hurley. Everyone enjoyed watching the Science Fair in action on the Senior Campus, especially the incredible experiments on display by Yr 11 students.

Legacy Gift of Class of 2022

Thank you to members of our community that have already supported our students. The Class of 2022 proudly continues the Legacy of previous Year 12 cohorts, through their efforts have been supporting the Dr Sue Morey AM Appeal.

Memorable Yr 12 Tea Towels and Tote Bags, featuring students’ and selected staff hand-drawn faces, have arrived and will be distributed to students by the end of this Term. These gifts will also be possible to purchase at the Spring Fair, Saturday 3 September 9am-3pm. Come and visit the Legacy gift stall on the Fahl Garden (right next to the Alumni Café and BBQ). Purchase can be made by card or cash, coupons are not possible to be used for these items.

Why the Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund?

This endowment fund provides opportunities to exceptional all-rounder students, who otherwise may not have the financial resources to attend Redlands. Currently, the fund has assets to provide four full-time scholarships, with a long-term goal to grant one means-tested full-time scholarship in the Secondary School annually.
