Science and Innovation Luncheon

Inspiring hosts opening this highly anticipated event!

Jonathan Gray, Dean of Activities in the Secondary School
John attended the University of Oxford to study Physics and gained his degree from St Edmund Hall in 2001. Following that he completed his Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Oxford before beginning his teaching career in 2002. He joined Redlands as a Science teacher in 2010, including HSC and IB Physics and teaching Junior and Senior Science. He was Assistant Science Co-ordinator before moving into the role of Dean of Activities in 2020.

Isabel Simpson, School Captain 2020
Isabel is currently studying at the University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and applied Medical Science. Although her interest is in human biology, she is enjoying learning about plant and animal life also. She is also working part-time as a Science Laboratory Assistant at Redlands, along fellow alumna Anneliese Phillips.

Yr 10 Career Event with Alumni Speakers

Tomorrow we will welcome young alumni on campus to share their experience and insights with our current Yr 10 students as they approach their Yr 11 & 12 subject and course choices. Special thanks to the following alumni:

  • Dillon Hayford (Redlander 2021), a Dalyell Scholar currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce/Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney Business School and Redlands Basketball and Football Coach
  • Yasmin Gupta (Redlander 2020), a Bachelor of Information Technology Co-op Scholar at UTS and Redlands Hockey Coach
  • Bella Dougall (Redlander 2016), singer and actor, currently working in television.
