ICAS
English and Maths
Students who would like to take part in the UNSW ICAS Assessments for 2019 for English, Writing and Mathematics should give their names to Sarah Boyd (Maths) and Sarah Read (English and Writing) by the close of day 16 August.
Science
The 2019 International Competition and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) in Science will take place on Thursday 5 September in school.
This competition is undertaken by over 400,000 students across Australia and the region and is a rigorous test of scientific thinking.
Participation in the competition provides our students with excellent examination practice and an opportunity to see how they fare in competition with students of their own age from across the country.
Students who are interested in Science can use the test to assess areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Success at the test is way of demonstrating aptitude when applying for Science related opportunities in and out of school.
Entry for students in Yrs 7-10 is voluntary. Please email Jon Gray directly (jgray@redlands.nsw.edu.au) no later than Friday 16 August if you would like your child to take part. In the email, please include their name, student number and Year Group. I will reply with a confirmation email. A fee of $15.95 will be charged to your account in due course if you wish your child to participate.
