Drama and Theatre
Connections 2020
The show is online. Yr 10 students performances of dramatic and comedic Radio Plays from Theatre of the Absurd are now available in iLearn for families to enjoy.
Virtual Speed Mentoring
Today from 4.30-5.30pm, Redlands is hosting a Virtual Speed Mentoring event (via Zoom), where Redlanders will mentor Yrs 10-12 students. The exciting news is we have Abe Mitchell, Arts Captain 2005, participating and happy to chat with students about his industry. Abe’s stage credits include A Riff on Keef (2015) for Griffin Theatre Independent, Trigorin in The Seagull (2017 – Dir. Anthony Skuse, Secret House), the 30th anniversary production of the Australian musical Darlinghurst Nights at Hayes Theatre (2018), the world premiere of the new Australian musical Findr (2018 – Jackrabbit Theatre/Darlinghurst Theatre Co), Ironbound at Kings Cross Theatre (2018) and most recently in Sport for Jove’s Rose Riot – a two show Shakespearean epic covering 100 years of history and eight of Shakespeare’s history plays. He played multiple characters including Bagot, Lancaster and Richard of Gloucester. Sign up is via iLearn.
