What a stella night Gala Arts 2018 was, showcasing the talents and amazing gifts of many of the seasoned Redlands performers, especially our wonderful Yr 12 performers as well as some new faces to Redlands stage. The exceptionally high standard and breadth of performance styles just keeps getting stronger every year, highlighting the passion and dedication of our young performers and richness of talent in the Redlands community. It was a delight to see such a galaxy of stars and such a wide age range in the performers, with many newcomers stepping on to the Concert Hall stage to an appreciative full house. What a privilege it was to welcome back Redlanders Solly Frank, Sophie Giles, Ally Selby, Johnny Xenos, as well as our very special guest judge, Redlander Rachel Beck. Congratulations to our wonderful comperes, the performers, staff and parents involved for all you did to make it such a wonderful evening.

Regional Theatresports Competition

Congratulations to the Intermediate Theatresports team, Grace Bracks, Flynn Henry, Maddi Howard, Toby Page and Tadgh Robinson, who won the Semi Final Theatresports Schools Challenge on Monday 4 June at Monte Sant’ Angelo. They now progress to the Grand final at the Enmore Theatre. Tickets are available here.

Solo Showcase- “To thine own self be true”

Next week Yr 12 students will be presenting their individual works in performance, script writing and design for their final examination. IB Theatre students will perform on 12 June and HSC Drama performances will be held on 13 June. Please join them as they step on to the stage for their final solo showcase of major works.
