Congratulations – Yr 11 HSC Drama Performance Evening

We are so proud of our Year 11 HSC Drama Performance theatremakers who performed a range of engaging and highly theatrical moments for their audience in the Drama Studio on Friday 8 September, 6:30pm. They engaged their audience in comedic pantomimes and also abstract physical theatre, demonstrating the range of performance and production skills they had learned throughout the year.

A big thank you to the Yr 11 HSC Drama teacher, Marita Jansons, for all her efforts and hard work for organising the Performance evening.

Years 10-11 Cocurricular Drama Production, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Our Years 10-11 Cocurricular Drama Production presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Term 4 at the Zenith Theatre at Chatswood, 1920’s style! A Midsummer Night’s Dream: the tale of Hermia, Demetrius, Lysander, and Helena; four misguided lovers who’s journey into the woods lands them in even more trouble, as members of the fairy kingdom decide to use them as veritable pawns in their own love games. Against the backdrop of the wedding of Duke Theseus and Hippolyta, and the fiery battle of wills between the Fairy King and Queen, Oberon and Titania, the four lovers are challenged by magic and trickery to finally work out what love is all about. We invite all to attend.

Parent Visit Sessions for Extra Subject Drama Classes

Drama and Theatre: Student of the Week – Alexander ReadAlex is a brilliant member of our Junior Music Theatre class. His dedication and can-do attitude make him a joy to work with. He is constantly challenging himself to try new things and take on new direction. Alex has been working incredibly hard on his role as Mr Wormwood in our upcoming Junior Musical Matilda, taking detailed notes and searching for exciting ways to bring his character to life. We can’t wait to see him shine on stage! (Drama Tutors – Andrew Waldwin and Helena Cielak)

Parent Visit Sessions for Extra Subject Drama ClasseWe are thrilled to be offering parents the chance to sit in on our Extra Subject Drama classes in the coming weeks to get a glimpse of what the students have been working on. Drama and Theatre – Student of the Week – Felix Chadwick

Felix Chadwick has been nominated for student of the week because of his outstanding focus and commitment. He keeps his focus throughout our entire rehearsal, and is always listening to the other performers’ lines. When we do freeze frames, he always commits with his great facial expressions. Congratulations Felix! (Year 1 Acting, Drama Tutor – Harry Hummerston)
