Legally Blonde Auditions

Harvard’s beloved blonde takes the Redlands stage by pink storm in this fun, upbeat story of self-discovery. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

We will be holding auditions for Redland’s 2024 Senior Musical: Legally Blonde in Week 8! It would be criminal to miss the opportunity to go to Harvard Law as Elle Woods, or teach a class as the villainous Professor Callahan, or just have the time of your life in the Greek Chorus of the Delta Nu Sorority!

Auditions for Orchestra will be held in Week 9 for our superstar musicians.

All Audition Information can be Found Here

We can’t wait to see all the talent Redlands has to share. What? Like it’s hard?

Filmmaking – Extra Subject

Each week on various afternoons, filmmaking is offered for Years 5-12. Senior filmmaking takes place every Wednesday afternoon, our young filmmakers explore different aspects of film production: idea generation, scripting, storyboarding, sound design, editing and more. This year in particular we’ve been experimenting with genre and style, with projects ranging from sitcom scenes to reinterpretations of sci-fi drama classics.

The workshops provide a fun space for creatives to develop their skills behind the camera, and expand their understanding of spectacle, space and character. For the tech enthusiasts, the complexity of soundscapes and editing are a fantastic way to learn new skills. For the visual artists, camera work and cinematography open up new ways of framing the world. For those who just love movies – here’s a group of people who’d love for you to join in the action! Senior Film is open to all Secondary School students and runs Wednesday 3.20-5:00pm in the W Block, if you have any queries regarding joining, please contact the Drama email.

Drama and Theatre: Student of the Week – Billie Mears

Billie Mears’s attitude and commitment to Drama class, her peers and the end of year showcase are exceptional. She comes to class willing and able to try any idea given to her among sharing many of her own. She has bounds of energy and her performances are always engaging. She has been a tremendous help in the creative process of devising our end of year showcase bringing many imaginative ideas to the table. She works extremely well as part of an ensemble and always brings a smile to class. Billie is extremely excited to perform for her parents in her Jr acting showcase next term. Well done Billie!
