Yr 8 Drama Performance Evenings 2023

The Yr 8 performance night Australian Landscapes is taking place in the Drama Studio on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 of August (Week 4, Term 3) at 6:30pm. This term, students have explored the work of Australian writers and performers who have contributed to Australian drama and theatre. Students have engaged in a range of dramatic forms, performance styles and theatre conventions related to Australian theatre and developed a broad understanding of our cultural heritage and the characteristics of the Australian psyche. This is their first ever performance night examination, and we are very proud of the newly learnt performance skills they have developed and demonstrated. Come and watch our Yr 8 Drama students perform extracts from fantastic plays such as Lockie Leonard, Hating Alison Ashley and Burnt, just to name a few. We look forward to seeing you there in the audience!
Extra Subject Drama Classes – Secondary Musical Theatre, Into The Woods

We are now starting to learn the music score with the students learning the music tied to their roles. After working on group musical numbers, the students have been equipped with the skills and knowledge to learn this music quickly and efficiently. The students can’t wait to get this musical on to the stage of the Drama Studio in Term 4, details for all our Extra Subject Drama Showcases for our end of year performances will be published shortly, we hope you can attend to see the work.
