Catering in Production Week

This means the appropriate amount of food must be packed during Production Week to last students for the entire day and night.
ABSENCES: If you are unable to attend any rehearsal due to special circumstances you must notify drama@redlands.nsw.edu.au in advance.
MAKEUP AND HAIR CREW: Reminder to all production crew to check the schedule as they will be required to attend every rehearsal on Sundays. All students will be rostered in the theatre during the show week.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Please check the weekly rehearsal schedules.
SUNDAY REHEARSALS: Please remember to bring all food and drink from home to these rehearsals. No student is permitted to go off-site to collect food. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
BACKING TRACKS: All backing tracks are available on Google Drive. All Act 1 and 2 numbers are available.
PRODUCTION CREW: Please ensure all production crew check the schedule as they will be required to attend every rehearsal on Sundays in addition to their commitment to Production on Fridays. These students will be required for all sessions and performances in the theatre during the show week.
Redlands Drama is excited to present the 2023 Secondary School Theatresports Competition!

Theatresports challenges performers to create instant theatre through set games based entirely on improvisation. The result is a spontaneous, team-based performance which promotes a highly supportive environment, that’s also a lot of fun! The energetic and unpredictable style of Theatresports is judged on three different criteria: Technique, Narrative, and Entertainment and all of this performed to a time limit.
It’s going to be a high energy, highly entertaining night of wacky characters in sticky situations. We’d also like to welcome the Year 7 students who will be joining our competition for the first time. We hope you can join us for the Theatresports Competition Performance evening.
Sport for Jove – Shakespeare Workshops
Our Curriculum Drama Classes have just finished their specialised workshops with Sport for Jove. They had such a fantastic time and we’re looking forward to seeing their finished performances.
“I thought Sport for Jove was an informative but truly enjoyable experience. Owen taught us the importance of tension levels in a scene through interactive activities and challenged us as actors to take on different objectives within a scene to prove the significance of understanding our characters and their connections with other characters within the scene. Overall, Sport for Jove included fun games and scene work that helped us understand how to act Shakespeare in a genuine sense, connecting with the language of iambic pentameter and proving how it supports a character’s state and overall performance”. Millie Winton – 10 Drama 1.
