THE ADDAMS FAMILY

Audition Pack and Information Below

THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family — a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on a fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. Now it’s our turn Redlands

Year 12 HSC External Examinations

This Friday the Year 12 HSC Drama students are completing their final performance examinations. Markers from across the state will spend the day assessing their group and individual performances. Performance exams require a different style of preparation. This is a very exciting but nervous time for these students. Below are some tips to help Year 12 but also any student prepare for any performance.

Be Rested

It all starts the night before the exam. Be well rested and arrive at the exam centre in plenty of time. Make sure you’re both physically and mentally fresh because your brain is about to get a whirlwind of a workout in a very short space of time.

Warm up beforehand

If you have a chance to warm up at the venue before the performance, it is a good idea to go through your performance once or twice. If you haven’t got time to go through the full performance, you should still warm up one way or the other, so that you are ready to deliver a great performance.

Focus and Confidence: Trust your rehearsal process

Just before the performance, it is a good idea to recap in your head what you are going to do on stage. Once you are on stage, your focus should be 100% on the performance and nothing else. Use this time to positively reflect on your rehearsal process and be confident in your choices.

Senior Curriculum Performance Evenings

In the upcoming weeks, we have an array of senior curriculum performance evenings, showcasing their classwork over the semester. We encourage friends and family to attend to support all students involved. Please see the information below for these evenings.
