Shrek the Musical 2022

Congratulations to all who auditioned for the Musical for 2022. The standard was incredibly high and we look forward to seeing our very talented company on stage next year. The Full Cast and Orchestra are listed here. The crew will be selected in Term 1 next year. Please note, the Company size (Cast, Crew and Orchestra) has been strictly limited due to COVID restrictions.

Friends of Drama AGM 

Parents and Friends of Drama and Theatre are invited to attend the annual AGM on Thursday 25 November at 6 pm over Zoom. We will also be discussing the plans ahead for costuming our next exciting musical adventure, Shrek for 2022. Gala Arts 2021

Filming Gala Arts last weekend was such a wonderful time for our performers. Whilst they performed live for the film and production crew only, the nerves and anticipation were still electric! Sadly their Yr 12 2021 peers were not able to be present due to final examination commitments however the camaraderie amongst the performers was incredibly strong. 

Using the various Performing Arts venues across the Senior Campus, the event was filmed using current COVID safety regulations and will be edited for release at the end of the year. This will be a  wonderful celebration of the Arts and House spirit at Redlands in what has become a highlight in the Redlands calendar. We hope you enjoy a pictorial sneak peek of the performances above.

Staff News

This week we farewell the wonderful Ms Sarah Sparke as she begins her maternity leave and prepares for the birth of her second child later this year. We wish her all the very best in the new journey with her growing family. In 2022 Ms Jessica Tripp will be joining us for 12 months. Jessica has been teaching in London at various schools and academies since 2016. Prior to that, she worked for a number of Sydney Performing Arts Schools. Jessica is passionate about Music Theatre and was recently in a London production of Shrek.

Enrolments for 2022

Classes for 2022 are filling fast and there are already waiting lists for some classes. Anyone interested in joining us for 2022 should complete enrolment forms available from the Drama and Theatre office via email at drama@redlands.nsw.edu.au. Students discontinuing courses must notify the Drama Office at drama@redlands.nsw.edu.au before the end of term.
