Musical “That’s a Wrap”
Our filming is now complete for Grease the Musical, The Movie. This Friday afternoon we celebrate our student’s achievements with our Musical Awards and final speeches by our Yr 12 Captains.
Over 110 members of the Redlands student community from Yrs 7 to 12 were involved in filming this year’s show. Whether the students were on stage, in the band, production crew, hair and makeup crew they gave their very best, learning many new skills and making many strong friendships across Year Groups.
These wonderful experiences could not have taken place without the support and assistance of so many people. Mrs Daley and the Musical staff team would like to thank the parents, especially our departing Yr 12 parents for all their support over many years. We would also like to acknowledge Friends of Drama, especially Tracy Everingham, Lucy Gazzilli and Sue Banfield who contributed in so many ways through this project with the Friends of Drama parent team of volunteers as well as our generous sponsor, People + Culture Strategies, which has enabled our Redlands stars to shine.
A Message from Joydeep Hor our Sponsor of Grease
It is with great pleasure that People + Culture Strategies sponsors this year’s Redlands musical Grease.
PCS was established in July 2010 as a unique law firm that works with domestic and international employers on all aspects of people management, HR and workplace culture with a particular focus on the preventive aspects through audits, coaching, consulting and education.
PCS has been a proud supporter of the arts for several years now having established partnerships with some leading pro-am musical theatre organisations which have brought shows including Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde, Miss Saigon, Into the Woods and many others to theatres in the greater Sydney area.
Redlands has a fine tradition of excellence in the performing arts and this is the third Redlands musical with which PCS has been associated. The School’s achievements in this regard are well-known and we are proud to have a former Redlands Arts Captain Embla Bishop as one of our firm’s Ambassadors.
I commend Joy Daley, the Redlands staff and all the cast and crew who are a part of this show for their tremendous enthusiasm and dedication. I am sure, like many other Redlands parents, Grease was an iconic movie and era-defining story growing up and as such a show we look forward to very much.
Enjoy the show!

Theatresports
This week we were very excited as we welcomed our families back as audiences on site to our Theatresports Competition. Redlands annual Theatresports Competition was held on Wednesday in the Fahl Garden. Special thanks go to Ms Sarah Sparke and Ms Amber Virtue, our wonderful Theatresports coaches, who have been training our teams during Term 1 and organising the event. I would also like to make special mention of the wonderful technical support from Ben Peate, our AV technician, who transformed our beautiful gardens into a fantastic outdoor theatre venue, enabling us to have so many parents onsite to enjoy our hilarious night of improvised theatre. The winning teams were presented with awards by Mrs Daley.
