Joan & Monica Halliday and Isobel Anderson Awards
Congratulations to Year 7 students Ethan Wei and Irene Kim, who are through to the finals of the Joan & Monica Halliday Awards and Isobel Anderson Awards respectively.
Ethan will be performing on Saturday 6 April, and Irene will be performing on Sunday 7 April, both at the Seymour Centre.
Tickets for these events are still available through the SEYMOUR CENTRE.
We wish Ethan and Irene lots of luck at the finals!
Term 1 Class Watching

Parents/carers are invited to join us at the Academy and watch our students in their dance classes. Class watching starts Saturday 6 April, and ends Friday 12 April. For further information please see our CLASS WATCHING PULSE page. |

Term 2 Classes
Enrolments at the Academy are per semester. This means if your child is enrolled for Semester 1, they are enrolled for Term1 and Term 2.
If you wish to withdraw your child from a dance class, the deadline to withdraw for Term 2 is THURSDAY 11 APRIL. After this date an administration fee is applied for any withdrawals from dance. For further details please see our RDA Pulse page.
The Ballet Society – April Holiday Events
The Ballet Society are running masterclasses during the April school holidays, on Tuesday 16 April and Thursday 18 April at Village Nation Studios.
The masterclasses offer a day-long program of ballet, contemporary, jazz, and yoga classes for the following age categories:
- Pre Junior (7-9 years)
- Junior (10-12 years)
- Intermediate (13-15 years)
- Advanced (16+ years)
Places are strictly limited to 25 dancers per class each day.
We will be joined by an incredible faculty including:
- Lucinda Dunn OAM – Classical
- Adam Blanch – Contemporary
- Sophie Holloway – Jazz (Thursday 18th)
- Maddie Owen – Jazz (Tuesday 16th)
- Corinne Furlong – Yoga flow
To book please call The Ballet Society 02 9252 7322. Redlands Dance Academy students are offered the discount price of $120 per day, otherwise bookings online are $150 per day (ONLINE BOOKING).
We would also like to invite you and your students to watch The Australian Ballet’s “Class on Stage” at the Sydney Opera House. Tickets are $15.
Students can also include “Morning Tea & Talk”. The talk will be with Annabelle Watt & Drew Hedditch, the current Philanthropy Ambassadors for The Australian Ballet. Tickets for Class on Stage plus Morning Tea/Talk are $35.

Lost Property
As we near the end of term, a reminder to please check our RDA Lost Property cupboard, located outside studio P1.9. All remaining items at the end of term will be donated to charity.

GALA ARTS 2024
Put it in your diaries, Gala Arts will be returning to The Concourse, at the start of Term 3 on Friday 26 July.
Audition information will be available on Wednesday 10 April, and forms can be found on the Gala Arts Audition iLearn Page. A meeting to launch Gala Arts will be held at lunchtime on Wednesday 10 April in Redlands Hall.
Email galaarts@redlands.nsw.edu.au to be added. Auditions close and must be submitted online by 6pm on Friday 17 May.
