Dance Awards 2023

As we recover from the wonderful celebrations on Tuesday evening, we have been reflecting on the incredible performances that we all witnessed.

Well done students, you all danced beautifully, thank you so much for your patience in our rather tedious rehearsal, we got there in the end!

All those who were presented with awards congratulations, we will get that plaque up for all to see very soon!

Yr 12s, we are hoping that you received an evening that you will never forget!

Mr Corcoran thrilled us all with his superb dance number and was joined quickly by so many Dads (and a few mums). Great job, we were so impressed that you all secretly practised and surprised your children so successfully!

It was also a pleasure to have former Head of the Academy Karen Martin with us for the evening helping us to honour the past, celebrate the present and embrace the furture, and a treat to meet Kelly Palmer the first ever Jazz teacher at Redlands, who happens to be Ms Vanessa’s sister.

A big thank you also to Virginia Clayton and our Friends of Dance Team, everything ran so smoothly. Kate Goodsall, those flowers were magnificent!

It was also exciting to be able to unveil our new name and logo, and vision for the Academy. We will be handing out pamphlets to our Junior students throughout the week so that the whole Redlands Dance Community can see our ideas and aims for the future.

I sent a thank you to Mr Sheeran for his appearance from you all too!

Please note that where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, private lessons will be charged as received.

Dance Curriculum

Congratulations | Year 12 IB Students

Congratulations to our Year 12 IB students, Bronte Backhouse, Catarina Croll, Poppy Justice, Angus McLachlan, Jenna O’Reilly, Marli Prado and Alyssa Tinetti on completing their final filming of their performance and composition works that will be uploaded for the final IB results. Thank you to the students’ dancers who have spent the past couple of terms learning, rehearsing and perfecting the Year 12 student works. We wish the students all the best as they head into their final weeks of school.
