Community Update
Our alumni of Redlanders can be found locally and globally and we continue to ensure important alumni connections with our community are nurtured and developed through Redlands dedicated alumni engagement program that includes interstate and international reunions and networking opportunities and events. We value the relationships we have with our alumni and our aim is to support a lifelong connection to the School.
We are delighted to announce that later this year we will host the Redlander Alumni Awards in partnership with the Redlander Alumni Association. This will be the second year of these prestigious awards following the launch of this new initiative last year. These Awards recognise and celebrate significant local and global achievements of the Redlander alumni community over many years, and across a number of fields of endeavour. For more information on these awards, along with an update on scholarships and other community events, please visit the Foundation section of today’s Note Day.
A reminder that we will be hosting an information evening on the Redlands Parent and Carer Midawarr Arnhem Land Trip at 6.30pm this evening on Level 2 of the Learning Hub, Senior Campus in LH 2.7/2.8. Those parents who are unable to attend in person can view the presentation via the live link here. To whet your appetite on what you might experience on this once in a lifetime trip, click here to watch a video of our 2023 Yr 9 cohort and their teachers immerse themselves in this ancient culture. The information session will provide more detailed information on this truly unique experience scheduled for May 2024 and offered exclusively to the Redlands community. This is quite literally a once in a lifetime opportunity to deeply explore miny’tji (art), manikay (song), bunggul (dance) and story-telling at Gulkula, the site of the annual Garma Festival. To reserve a place at our information evening please click here.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support and as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team, or to me directly, should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
