Community Update

Community Update

We are not just a school, we are a community. As a community, we value the relationships we have with each other. Our students past and present, families, staff and members of local and global communities are valued and included through a shared connection with Redlands. As a valued community member, you belong to a network of over 20,000 students, teachers, and family members.

Our alumni of Redlanders can be found locally and globally. We continue to ensure the important connections with our community are nurtured and developed through Redlands dedicated alumni engagement program that includes interstate and international reunions and networking opportunities and a quarterly newsletter. We greatly value the relationships we build with our Alumni and our aim is to support a lifelong connection to the School. Our Foundation section this week features an update from Redlander, Lindsay McNeil (RL 19) who recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Law (Honours). Lindsay continues her exceptional academic, sporting and service achievements beyond the school gates and we wish her well in her Postgraduate study in Law.

Bidding has now opened for the online auction of our fast-approaching Gala Ball and there has been lots of early interest in the wonderful array of items available. There will also be a live auction of some fabulous items on the night. A reminder that all proceeds from the Gala Ball benefit the Dr Sue Morey AM Scholarship Appeal. To read more about our Gala Ball, and the fabulous experiences, products and activities on offer, please check out the Foundation section of today’s Note Day. Thank you to our generous community partners, friends and families who have provided auction items, and to our community for their interest in the live and online auctions. Happy bidding all.

Tote Bags and Sports Towels developed and designed by our current Yr 12 cohort, in support of their Legacy Gift to the School, are now available for sale. The Legacy Gift provides our Yr 12s with a unique opportunity to thank the School for its support, encouragement and the opportunities offered while studying at Redlands.

Thank you for your continued guidance and support and as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team, or to me directly, should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
