Community Update
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This important week was explored through a range of important activities and reflections throughout the School. Reconciliation focused assemblies were held in our Junior and Secondary Schools where powerful personal reflections were articulately shared, while staff and students from our Prep School have marked this important week by sharing stories, creating shared artwork and enjoying conversation without judgement.
It was a pleasure to welcome the parents and carers of our youngest students to our 2024 Pre-Kindergarten (Transition Gold) information session earlier this week. Redlands House is one of the very few Preschools in Australia to have received a perfect rating of Exceeding Quality Standard in all seven quality areas by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. The two-year program, for children aged 3-5 years, incorporates the very best early childhood teaching theories and practices from around the world. Our Pre-Kindergarten (Transition Gold) Class provides a five day a week program for 4 to 5 year-old children, preparing them well for the transition to our Prep School.
The Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA), Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and Friends of Groups (FoGs) all come together as passionate and dedicated volunteers to selflessly support our School and the wider Redlands community. Our RPFA have been busy this week delivering staff appreciation morning teas across both campuses. These have of course been greatly received by our staff and further highlight the vital partnership and support our parents and carers provide in the growth and prosperity of the School.
Tickets continue to sell fast for the highly anticipated Redlands Gala Ball. All proceeds from this gala fundraising event will benefit the Dr Sue Morey AM Scholarship Appeal. For more information on tickets and sponsorship of this uniquely Redlands event please visit the Foundation section of today’s Note Day.
I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
Kindest regards
