Community Update

We value the relationships we build with our Alumni and our aim is to support a lifelong connection to the School. I was delighted to attend a number of House Morning Teas this week where current and past House Captains spoke passionately about the strong bonds and connections made while at Redlands.  These important events mark significant milestones in the lives of our Year 12 cohort who have only a few weeks left on campus with us. Go well Class of 2022, you’ve got this. For more information on the House Morning Teas, along with information on the Melbourne Cup Luncheon and alumni reflections please visit the Foundation.

Sustainability is a focus that we pursue with rigorous and disciplined intent at Redlands, across our curriculum, our operations, our resources and our community. A key element of our community sustainability program includes our Worn Up and Second Hand Uniform Sales initiatives.  Our Second Hand Uniform Sales got underway this week with clean, pre-loved uniforms being donated through the Uniform Shop. Uniforms can continue to be dropped off up to and including Friday, 16 September. A sale of these uniforms will be held on the weekend of 17 and 18 September. This Redlands Parent and Friends Association led initiative enables us to recycle pre-loved uniforms back into the community while raising valuable funds for our means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund. My thanks to the army of volunteers and our Uniform Shop for their assistance in delivering this important event.  For more information on this initiative, along with an update on the  Spring Fair and upcoming community events, please visit the RPFA section of Note Day.

Thank you for your continued guidance and support and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
