Community Update
Welcome to Term 3. We trust that you had the opportunity to enjoy some family time over the holiday period to rest and renew.
It was a pleasure to attend the Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA) Meeting early this week. The RPFA continues to explore ways to keep our community connected, included and supported within the many and varied aspects of school life and their support and guidance remains invaluable. Our committed and generous volunteer members highlight the vital role our wider community plays in the growth and prosperity of Redlands and we are ever grateful for their contribution. If you are looking to connect with our community groups then please reach out to the passionate and diverse experience of our Class and Year Group parents, the RPFA and Friends of Groups that support Redlands families.
The Master Plan consultation process continued this week with a focus on feedback from our parent and carer community. Thank you for your consideration and contribution within this important process. We value your voice and feedback and do hope that you are able to complete the survey which remains open until 11.59pm this evening. We are excited about the journey our School will take in the development of a new Master Plan, and we look forward to sharing its progress with Redlands parents and carers as the year unfolds.
The Redlands Spring Fair is back and will take place on Saturday 3 September. There has been a great deal of excitement as the Spring Fair banners went up around the School this week. We are delighted to announce that the Spring Fair will be returning to the Senior Campus this year following a number of years on the Junior Campus. A program of events along with details on rides, tickets and activities for this much loved Redlands community event will be provided soon.
Our alumni of Redlanders can be found locally and globally. We continue to ensure the important connections with our community are nurtured and developed through Redlands dedicated alumni engagement program that includes interstate and international reunions and networking opportunities. We value greatly the relationships we build and maintain with our alumni and we are excited by the opportunities and initiatives they help support in preparing our current students for life beyond the school gates. It is always a pleasure to hear what our alumni community have been up to, and this week we are delighted to share Aysha Swanson’s (Redland 2020) journey here from Redlands to UQ and beyond.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support this term and as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
