Community Update
We are fortunate at Redlands to have a community with a strong and generous tradition of service. Parents, carers and friends of the School proudly support the enrichment of our students’ lives in many ways, through regular donations and by giving one of the most special gifts of all – their time.
Redlands, like most independent schools, has a Foundation that supports the School’s strategic and philanthropic programs. The Foundation Advisory Committee (FAC) guide the School with experienced counsel and stewardship of our Foundation Office, providing resources and assistance in support of the School’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan.
The FAC’s experienced stewardship of our philanthropic program enables Redlands to continue to invest in the growth and advancement of the School. The FAC held their first meeting of the year this week and my thanks to those who serve on this committee for their individual and collective contribution.
It has been lovely to see and hear how our community has been connecting through the Term 1. With the end of another Term in sight, the Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA), Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and Friends of Groups (FoGs) continue to actively bring our various groups together both socially and operationally. A number of Term 1 social events still remain in the calendar and these can be found here.
All of the important groups of committed and generous volunteer members at Redlands highlight the vital role our wider community plays in the growth and prosperity of Redlands and we thank them for their continued guidance and support.
We are delighted to announce that tickets to the Science and Innovation Luncheon at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron on Friday 20 May are now on sale here. Proceeds from this event will be dedicated to the Dr Sue Morey AM Scholarship. For more information on the Science and Innovation Lunch, Dr Sue Morey AM and Redlands Musical history please visit our Foundation section.
A reminder that tickets are also on sale for our Twilight in the Garden social event on Friday 1 April. Tickets are limited and selling fast so don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to meet and socialise with new friends, old friends and the wider Redlands community in the Fahl Garden.
Our annual Snowsports Icebreaker event will be held from 6.00pm on Thursday 28 April at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. This year’s event also provides the opportunity for our snowsports community to farewell Bruce Campbell, whose passion for Snowsports helped drive the establishment of our Winter School and the annual Redlands Cup competition.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
