Community Update
It has been lovely to see and hear how our community has been connecting through the first few weeks of Term. While we continue to review our on campus events we encourage a connection to the significant and diverse experience of our PCGs, Class and Year Group parents who support our community. Year Group contact lists are also being distributed to assist in connecting our community. Each year, the Redlands Parents and Friends Association organise and support a number of community, cohort and class events which are a wonderful opportunity to participate in the active Redlands community and meet other parents and friends of Redlands. These are well underway in 2022 and details can be found here.
We recognise the vital relationship between home and school and provide opportunities for parents to actively engage with the School. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Redlands parents and to be involved with the School. Volunteer opportunities include classroom support, event support, Uniform Shop assistance, RPFA involvement or joining one of the Friends of Groups that support our many and varied Cocurricular activities. More information on volunteering at Redlands along with an update from the Foundation team, can be found here.
A reminder that the Redlands App is available for download in both the App Store for Apple users and Google Play for those using Android. The App provides a quick and easy connection with the school for all of the important information our community seeks – contact information, term dates, events, sport fixtures, school and absentee notices and other key links – all from the palm of your hand. It also allows parents to subscribe to specific groups of interest without having to see information that is not of interest to you. After downloading the App, you simply enter your Redlands login to access and personalise your settings. The App will be enhanced as the year unfolds and we look forward to receiving your feedback on this key platform.
It should be noted that the WhatsApp groups used by parents and carers are not formally endorsed by the School. All communication from the School is shared via email, Pulse and Note Day. While WhatsApp groups may be considered an easy and quick reference point, this platform should not always be considered as a trusted source of information. Where information is sought or clarification is required, we encourage parents to contact the relevant section of the School directly or through feedback@redlands.nsw.edu.au, as early as possible to avoid confusion and inconvenience.
A reminder that all COVID-19 related communications to parents and other relevant information is posted on the COVID-19 Page of Redlands Pulse.
Thank you for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
