Community Update
It was lovely to see and hear the School spring back to life in its entirety this week.
I had the pleasure of joining a number of community webinars and also speaking with a number of parents again this week. My sincere thanks to our community for the constructive feedback we seek and continue to receive. Discussion on WhatsApp groups was a familiar and consistent theme.
It should be noted that the WhatsApp groups used by parents and carers are not formally endorsed by the School. All communication from the School is shared via email, Pulse and Note Day. Where information is sought or clarification is required, we encourage parents to contact the relevant section of the School directly or through feedback@redlands.nsw.edu.au, as early as possible to avoid confusion and inconvenience. WhatsApp groups should not be considered as a primary source of information.
It is always a pleasure to hear what our alumni community have been up to and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the advice that Class of 2014 alumni, Oliver Brown provided for both our graduating and recently graduated students. Oliver’s honest account of his experience will sound familiar to many. Some lost opportunities scattered through a journey in pursuit of his passion and strengths. Oliver’s story, along with information on a Sustainability, Environmental, Social and Governance Investing webinar, presented by an expert alumni panel, can be found here.
A reminder that the Redlands Parents’ Prayer Group is meeting next on Thursday, 4 November from 8pm to 9pm via Zoom. Please contact Sally Swan (Mum to Annabelle Yr 12 and Adelaide Yr 7) at swanlsally@gmail.com for further information and the Zoom link.
I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions
