Community Update

It was a pleasure to welcome visiting parents, grandparents, students and carers onto the Senior Campus earlier this week for our Secondary School Open Morning. Students from Year 9 hosted small group tours, supported by staff from our key operational areas, answering questions and providing a wonderful insight into life at Redlands for our guests. Redlands reputation as a leading school of choice for families both nationally and internationally continues to grow. Through personalising each student’s development and growth, our students leave school truly life ready and prepared to adapt, create and thrive.

On Monday evening our Year 8 parents, carers and students joined us for a Gearing Up for Growth session in preparation for Moonbah, our new immersive residential learning experience for Year 9 students. Commencing in 2025, Moonbah is underpinned by our commitment to the development of each student’s personal growth. Living in community and on country at our High Country Campus outside of Jindabyne, students will connect, learn and lead to foster a deep understanding and critical thinking via a rich and varied interdisciplinary curriculum. Through the 9-week bespoke program, students extend their independence and responsibility and are empowered to become the authors of their future selves. From next year, our Year 9 students will have the opportunity to spend either Term 1 or Term 2 in this unique program that will provide opportunities for self-discovery, collaborative learning, building relationships and community mindedness.

It has been terrific to see our Redlands Supporter gear out and about at Summer Sport. Our range has been designed to represent the spirit of our players, teams, supporters and School, whether you’re cheering from the sidelines and stands or supporting from afar. The Redlands Supporter range can be viewed and ordered here with Polos and Jackets available to be tried on for size at our Uniform Shop to ensure correct fit. Please note that this range is for parents, carers, friends and alumni of Redlands, and not for our students. Our Redlands Supporter gear is a community driven program with all profits returned to the Redlands community for investment in community programs.

Uniform Recycling Week has once again proven to be a great success with hundreds of preloved and unwanted Redlands uniforms recycled across the School. Thank you to the many volunteers involved.  Preloved and unwanted sports uniforms and new uniform items can be donated to the RPFA’s Second Hand Uniform Sale through the Uniform Shop.

A reminder to join us for our Community Carols on Sunday 1 December at 5pm at St Peter’s Cremorne. This informal gathering offers a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to enjoy the joy and peace of the season. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

Thank you for your continued guidance and support and as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team, or to me directly, should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
