Community Update
The first meeting of the newly formed committee of the Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA) was held earlier this week along with the Annual General Meeting of the Heads of Friends of Group (FoG). The School is so grateful for the volunteer parents within these important groups who, along with our Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and Class and Year Group parents, continue to keep us informed, included and connected as we head into the social season of events and activities along with planning and preparation for 2025. There are still a number of community, class and year group events to run this Term and these can all be found in the RPFA section of today’s Note Day.
Uniform Recycling Weeks have been a great success at Redlands with hundreds of preloved and unwanted Redlands uniforms recycled. Next week provides another opportunity for old uniforms to be recycled through the large recycling bins that will be located outside the Junior School Reception and near the Student Services Office at the Secondary School. Recycled uniforms are processed and repurposed by Textile Recyclers Australia, our uniform recycling partner. With thanks to Kimberlee Chipper, Redlands Sustainability Manager, for her leadership on this important project supported by passionate volunteers from the RPFA. A reminder that all preloved and unwanted sports uniforms and new uniform items can be donated to the RPFA’s Second Hand Uniform Sale through the Uniform Shop.
We invite all Redlands students, families and friends to join us for our Community Carols on Sunday 1 December at 5pm at St Peter’s Church, Cremorne. This informal gathering offers a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to enjoy the joy and peace of the season. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
