Buzzing with Excitement: Beekeeping and Gardening Clubs Spring Into Action

This week at Beekeeping Club we had an unprecedented number of students turn up to meet our Redlands bees. Students put on protective suits and gloves and handled frames of bees with confidence and ease, with many students gently picking bees up and watching them in awe. In the lead up to our honey entry at the Royal Easter Show, next fortnight we will begin bottling our precious Redlands honey and have a blind taste-testing to see if our Redlands honey is rated the highest amongst some other honey brands.

At the Gardening Club, our avid gardeners filled two full buckets of weeds that grew over the holiday period. We are looking forward to filling the now fresh garden beds with some new produce for our canteen.
