Chaplain
From the Chaplains
On the Senior Campus, we celebrated Pancake Tuesday with gusto. The Year 11IB students and other helpers from Lumos – the campus Christian Group, made and distributed fresh pancakes in the Liggins Quad. The food was gratefully appreciated and gave students an opportunity to reflect on the significance of the upcoming season of Lent.
A group of staff joined together to share at a special prayer breakfast and there were more pancakes on hand for the Redlands Community Prayer time at St Peters. For many Christians, the season of Lent is a time of reflection and renewal; for refocusing on God’s love for us, and of broadening the reach of our compassion and care for others.
A prayer for Lent
Merciful God,
As Lent begins, we reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Grant us strength to follow his example, to deepen our faith and draw us closer to Him. Guide us in prayer, and reflection and compassion toward others. May we brightly shine the light of Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
