Students Achievements
This week we celebrate two amazing young ladies, Chloe Church and Samantha Menzel, who won Gala Arts overall on Friday night. What an amazing achievement by these two Dance students who choreographed and performed their own piece and won the competition ahead of such an amazing field of beautiful acts.
Our Yr 12 cohort also did extremely well in their Showcase and a shout out to them all for a number well performed and executed on as part of this wonderful evening of Dance, Music and Drama.
Ballet and Dance Morning Tea
The Friends of Ballet and Dance would like to invite new and current Dance parents to a morning tea on Friday 8 June from 8.30-10.30am in the Ballet Studio. Come along and enjoy some light refreshment while mingling with the Redlands Dance community. RSVP by 4 June. Please email or text Vivienne if you can attend on 0410 668 272.
Information Evening
An interesting day is happening at the Seymour Centre especially for our Yr 10, 11 and 12 students. The Lighthouse Dance Project is on Friday 15 June at The Seymour Centre, Chippendale starting at 12 noon.
The session will host tertiary representatives from WAAPA, Adelaide College of the Arts, QUT, New Zealand School of Dance, Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year and Point Park University, Pittsburg USA. Each will talk for 10 mins on their Dance and Classical Ballet courses. Directly following this there will be Table Time which is when students/parents/teachers can individually approach the different representatives with more detailed questions. In the evening, there is an additional show. The cost for the Info Session and Table Time would be $30/person. A package is available for Info Session, Table Time and Show for $50. These two options can be purchased through Belinda Scanlan. You can purchase tickets to just the show through the Seymour Centre website.
Winter Holiday Workshop
The following Ballet workshops will take place during the Winter holidays at the Ballet & Dance School:

10.00am – 2.00pm Grade 2 Ballet 12.00 – 2.00pm Grade 5
2.00 – 4.00pm Grade 3 Ballet 2.00 – 4.00pm Private Lessons

10.00am – 2.00pm Grade 2 Ballet 12.00 – 2.00pm Grade 5
2.00 – 4.00pm Grade 3 Ballet 2.00 – 4.00pm Private Lessons
The teachers that will work with the students during the Workshop will be Miss Samantha, Miss Maria and Miss Kate. The cost of each individual 2h x 2 session will be $165 (charged to your account). Any students wanting to join, please email us and let us know!

Redlands Spring Fair – Saturday 15 September. There will be no classes on this day but some students will be performing as part of the day. Groups performing are still to be confirmed.
