Ballet and Dance

During these unprecedented times we continue to give much thought on how to best support our Ballet and Dance students, and how to engage with the broader community through our continued teaching and learning at the Academy.

Our wonderful Dance teachers are constantly inspiring us during this challenge and we work with them to ascertain the best way forward. We continue to progress, change and adapt to the guidelines and new regulations set out around us, both inside and outside school. We will have an exciting new online presence via ilearn, Google Classroom and Seesaw, with lots of news, performances and other recourses to share and discuss.

Stay with us as we post regular updates and manoeuvre through the times ahead. 

Term 2 2020

The new start date for Ballet and Dance classes is Monday 20 April. This is a week earlier to make up for lost time. Please note the Term 2 commencement for the whole school is on Tuesday 28 April.

Private Lessons

There will be an opportunity for current Private Lesson students to continue through the holiday and through Term 2. Expect to hear from your teacher shortly. All Private Lessons will be conducted through Zoom. If you are a new student and would like Private Lessons, please contact the Ballet and Dance Office via email.

Timetables Lessons

We will run normal timetables with some minor changes. All classes will be conducted online via Zoom

Performance Groups

The performance groups rehearsals will not be running during our online lessons period. However, Dance training will run from 2.30-3.30pm on Thursdays.

  • Secondary School teaching: via Zoom, from inside iLearn  
  • Junior School teaching: via Zoom and Google Classroom
  • Prep School teaching: via Zoom and Seesaw
