Students Achievements
A big week for Eisteddfods!
Congratulations to all our students participating and especially the following who achieved some spectacular results: Jade Patrick and Joshua Roberts placed 1st winning the section in the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod (15 years and under Jazz/hip hop/musical comedy duo); in the IRBD, Mandi Whittaker’s Contemporary Group (Yr 9-11 Secondary School Modern/Contemporary Group) also placed 1st winning this very competitive section. Congratulations to the following students: Mary Argyropoulos, Jasmine Chubb, Chloe Church, Bibi Daddo, Elizabeth Davies, Lara Demspey, Patrick Friedlander, Sienna Gray, Jade Patrick, Jennifer Psaroulis and Sunday Stephens.
Gala Arts

Ballet and Dance Morning Tea
The Friends of Ballet and Dance would like to invite new and current Dance parents to a morning tea on Friday 8 June from 8.30-10.30am in the Ballet Studio. Come along and enjoy some light refreshment while mingling with the Redlands Dance community. RSVP by 4 June. Please email or text Vivienne if you can attend on 0410 668 272.
Friday Adam Centre Classes
On Fridays students have a Jazz performance class at 4.30-5.30pm at the Adams Centre. Students are accompanied to the class from Parkes Hall, in time for their class to start. This is a reminder that parent pick up is at 5.30pm at the Adams Centre. If parents are late or can not find a parking spot, students are to wait inside the Centre with Miss Shannon. It is getting very dark and cold much earlier so it is best to wait inside.
Dance Curriculum Senior Students
Please remember to collect the key to the Junior Campus from the Secondary School Office prior to class. The office isn’t always able to assist you with a key on arrival or departure from the Ballet School.
Exams
RAD exam entries will be going in soon. Students participating in RAD Ballet exams must be attending at least two Ballet classes per week to be considered for the grade being examined. If any students do not want to be put forward for an exam, could you please make sure to let your teacher know.
Good luck to all the students doing their exams in June!
Edumate
All of our Curriculum and Dance Academy classes are now online. This means that we can mark attendance online as well as show a student’s full daily commitment to the school. Some students work in the Ballet studio as late as 7.30pm many nights of the week to perfect their craft. Being part of the rest of the timetable means that teachers can see those commitments online.

Please do not forget to let us know if sickness, injury or a change of circumstance has occurred.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no classes on Monday 11 June. All classes are cancelled due to Queens Birthday Long Weekend.

Week 8: Monday 25 June – Yrs 8, 9 and 10 Dance Curriculum Showing 6pm
Week 9: Friday 29 June – Last Classes
Redlands Spring Fair – Saturday 15 September. There will be no classes on this day but some students will be performing as part of the day. Groups performing are still to be confirmed.
