Student Achievements
Our students have been busy in the holidays.
Chloe Scamps competed in the Expression Dance Eisteddfod’s Under 12 Jazz Solo section and was awarded 1st Prize. Pictured at top.
Jennifer Psaroulis continued with her own choreography placing 1st in the 17 Years and Over Jazz solos section and Highly Commended in 17 Years Contemporary Solo section at Sydney Eisteddfods.
Ross Psaroulis placed 2nd in the 14 Years and Over Tap Solo section and 2nd in the 14 Years and Over Tap championship section also at Sydney Eisteddfods.
Dante Minassian participated in the male intensive training week down at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne and had a great time. He also took part in the solo Sydney Eisteddfod. He danced very well and received a Highly Commended for his Classical Ballet routine.

RAD Winter Holiday School
Many students attended the two day workshop during the winter break. A wonderful time to continue to learn and enjoy dance here at the school. Many thanks to Miss Samantha, Miss Traynor and Miss Kate who all came to work with the students.
Friends of Ballet and Dance Awards Night – Buy Your Tickets Now!
The Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner will be held on 19 September at Manly Golf Club. All students in Yrs 7-12 have been invited to attend. Awards (Yrs 8-11) and Certificates (all Yr 7) will be announced at the dinner and special guests will join us. Let us know if you missed the invitation and we’ll send it to you
Yr 7 (2020) Information Sessions
Two information sessions for parents of students entering the Secondary School next year were held this week. Draft 2020 timetables for Yr 7 2020 are available from the office to help parents manage their choices in Ballet and Dance for next year.
RAD Exams – Date Update
The RAD Junior Grades and Senior exams are scheduled for 25, 26 and 27 August. Emails will go out to all exam candidates’ parent/carers. Contact the office if you have not received the time/day for the student exam time.
Eisteddfods – New Dates
The dates for our Eisteddfods:
Senior Ballet Performance Group: 4 August
Junior Jazz Performance Group: 3 August
Senior Jazz Performance Group: 2 August and 4 August
Senior Contemporary Performance Group: 3 August and 4 August
