Student Achievements
Congratulations to our Junior Jazz Performance Group for an amazing performance, winning their Sydney Eisteddfod on Sunday at the Sydney Opera House. They competed in the Primary School Jazz/Musical Theatre/Hip Hop category against fierce competition. A wonderful achievement for this new group. Well done!
Congratulations, to our Junior Classical Ballet Performance Group performance who also performed on Sunday at Sydney Eisteddfod with a Highly Commended, a great result in a strong and competitive field of 46 groups. Pictured at top.
Our Dance Captain, Jennifer Psaroulis achieved a Highly Commended with her own choreography in Open Contemporary section at the Extreme Eisteddfod. Congratulations!
Class Watching Days
Class watching week is in full swing. We finish on Friday 28 November – please see notice board and Redlands Pulse for details.
Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner
The Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner will be held on 19 September at Manly Golf Club. All students in Yrs 7-12 will be invited to attend. Awards (Yr 8-11) and Certificates (all Yr 7) will be announced at the dinner and special guests will join us. The official invitation to book will be out this week. This event operates a strictly ‘first come first serve basis” as we have limited space.
Please note the Winter holiday (July) workshop dates are now set. You can also find them on Redlands Pulse. Please let us know if you will be attending.
Note: Let us know if your child is attending. Classes will be cancelled if we do not have enough students attending.
RAD Exams
The Senior RAD Exams are currently being entered and will be held around the 21 October–1 November. We are still awaiting confirmation from the RAD regarding dates for the Junior exams in September,
Please see the noticeboard for the correct character skirt needed for the Grade 1-5 exam. Blue or purple ribbons are both okay. You will need to bring your character shoes and skirts to Friday and Saturday lessons only.
Hair Tutorial
All parents are welcome to a hair tutorial on Saturday 27 July in Parkes Hall at 10.00-11.00am. We will take you through how to manage hair, do buns and other hair arrangements needed for EOYC, Eisteddfods etc.
Lost Property
There is already a large amount of large property outside the Ballet studios.
Junior students: Many water bottles are left behind, they are now on the shelf under the yoga mats in Parkes Hall. We will clear it at the end of term.

Curriculum Dance
Student Achievements
Congratulations to the students in Yrs 8, 9 and 10 for their excellent dancing at the Curriculum Dance Showcase last week. The students danced performance and composition works from their classes, allowing an insight into what occurs within Curriculum Dance. Thank you to all the family and friends who attended. It was a great evening showcasing all our talented students.
