Student Achievements
Congratulations to Ellie To and Juliet Cook who came 1st in the Burn it Up Dance Challenge at the weekend. They performed in the Classical Ballet duo section. Well done Ellie and Juliet!
Congratulations to Dante Minassian (Yr 5), who placed 2nd (RAD Grade 3) in the NSW Joan and Monica Halliday Awards. A superb performance, Dante danced with confidence, elegance and poise in highly competitive finals last Sunday. This is an outstanding achievement for Dante in a statewide Ballet competition.
Please remember to share your child’s achievements with us so that we can announce them!

Class Watching Days
Class watching week begins in Week 10, Saturday 6 April followed by 9, 10, 11 and 12 April. (No watching on Monday 8 April). You are welcome to all classes except the Ballet/Jazz and Contemporary Performance Groups on those days. For full details see Redlands Pulse.
FOB Uniform Drive
The Friends of Ballet and Dance will be holding a second hand Ballet and Dance uniform sale next term. **Please note change of date** We have had to postpone the sale from this term as we have not received enough donations for the sale. In preparation for the sale, please bring any unwanted Ballet or Jazz School uniform (inc character skirts, cross overs etc) and/or shoes to the collection boxes outside the Ballet Office. No non-uniform pieces please. Please only bring clean and undamaged items.
Important Dates – Holiday Workshops
The Easter holiday Ballet RAD workshops are on 15-16 April. We will be doing the Ballet Grades as well as the Senior Ballet Performance Group Rehearsals.
The Easter holiday Jazz Performance Group workshops are on Saturday 13 April.
Please see Redlands Pulse, Noticeboard and the Ballet TV in Parkes Hall corridor for full information and timing for classes.
Note: Let us know if your child is attending. Classes will be cancelled if we do not have enough students attending.
RAD Exams
The Senior RAD Exams will be held around 24-28 June 2019 in Term 2.
The Junior Grades exams will be around 13 September in Term 3 (exact dates to be confirmed).
Eisteddfods – PLEASE NOTE – Change of Date for the JCPG to 24/25 May
The dates for our Eisteddfods:
Junior Ballet Performance Group: 24/25 May and 23 June
Senior Ballet Performance Group: 4 August
Junior Jazz Performance Group: 23 June and 2/3 August
Senior Jazz Performance Group: 2/3 August and 4 August
Senior Contemporary Performance Group: 2/3 August and 11 August
Letters will be sent to the students required.
Note From Teachers – Especially to All Prep Students
Please bring hairbrush, hair net and pins to Ballet. We need the girls hair to be tied up and looking nice and tidy for Ballet. All hair must be up please!
Edumate
Please check your child’s Ballet and Dance timetable/profile to determine that they are attending the correct classes. Do let the office know if there are any discrepancies.
Lost Property
There is already a large amount of large property outside the Ballet studios.
Junior students: Many water bottles are left behind, they are now in the shelf under the yoga mats in Parkes Hall. We will clear it at the end of term.
All Senior students: Please put names on your yoga mats – as all unnamed mats will also be cleared at the end of the Term 1.
