Student Achievements
Congratulations to Izzy McLachlan who has been accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in Connecticut in June/July 2019. Well done Izzy!
Jazz Auditions
The Jazz auditions took place last week. There was an overwhelming number of students attending and the standard of dance was exceptionally high. The Academy would like to thank everyone who came for the day, everyone did extremely well which made the selection process extremely difficult.
More updates in regards to Eisteddfod dates to come shortly for the Performance Groups.
Contemporary Auditions
The Senior Advanced Contemporary Performance Group audition is being held on Friday 8 February from 5.30-6.30pm (fromYr 8) Places are limited. Come along and audition if you are interested!
Ballet and Dance Academy Scholarship Auditions
The Ballet and Dance Scholarship auditions are held on Friday 8 February. We will welcome over 20 girls to try for the 2020 scholarship this year. The Academy is extremely proud to welcome an esteemed external adjudicator to support the selection process.
New Term
We have welcomed a lot of new faces to the Academy this week. We thank everyone for their patience as we are auditioning and adjusting our timetable to fit our large cohort of students.
Do check classes in Edumate. The classes should now show in their timetable. There are some system issues (that we are aware of) but do not hesitate to contact Eva if you have questions around any of the classes.
New Uniform
We have a new top for Jazz and Contemporary. Prep and Junior Ballet students can continue to wear their ballet leotard with shorts to Jazz classes. The Jazz top will become mandatory by Semester 2 for all Senior students but we will encourage all new students to purchase. Please ask in the Uniform Shop (not Bloch) for the new Ballet and Dance Jazz top.
