Student Achievements

The Academy would like to congratulate Angus McLachlan who has received a scholarship to the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco. A terrific achievement and very well deserved! Congratulations Angus.

Also, our Yr 7 student Alyssa Tinetti has been awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dancing Intensive workshop. What wonderful news! We are very proud of both students doing so well.

End of Year Ballet and Dance Concert

The End of Year Concert is on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 November at 6.30pm. Please could all parents provide their permission for this event on Redlands Pulse to ensure your child can participate. We cannot let children on the buses if permission is not in place.

Could all parents of Senior students please ask their children to read the Parent letter. There is useful information in regards to their whereabouts during this extremely busy period.

Sunday Rehearsal Parkes Hall, Junior Campus – please note all rehearsals are compulsory.

Students are to wear their normal class attire and bring lunch/water/snacks as required– ONLY Yrs 10 and 11 students will be allowed to leave the Junior Campus during the day.

All students are requested to be ready to dance at Parkes Hall at their allocated times outlined below. Please arrive at least ten minutes before the requested rehearsal time. We have kept our rehearsal times to a minimum however, this requires working to a tight schedule.

Sunday 11 November (Week 5)
All Jazz and Contemporary Yr 4 Students (Primary to Yr 6 )
Prep and Junior Jazz students – 10.00am – 1.00pm Levels 2, 3, 4, 5
Primary Jazz and Level 1 students – 12.00 – 1.00pm
Contemporary Yr 4 students – 12.00 – 1.30pm (Yr 7 to Yr 11)
All Senior Jazz students – 12.00 – 4.00pm

Sunday 18 November (Week 6)
All Ballet students are required to attend the Sunday ballet rehearsals
Prep and Junior Ballet students (Primary to Yr 6 students) – 10.00am – 1.00pm
All Senior Ballet students – 12.00pm – 3.00pm

End of Year Ballet and Dance Concert – Volunteers for Working Bees

Friday 9 November – 8.30-2pm
Friday 16 November – 8.30-2pm
Saturday 17 November – 8.30-5pm – Hair 10-10.30am only; Make-up 10.30-11am only

We’ll meet in Parkes Hall. Saturdays in P1.2 and Fridays in the Ballet Studio.

Ballet & Dance Awards Evening

Tickets are now on sale for our inaugural Redlands Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner at Manly Golf Club on Tuesday 27 November at 6.30pm to celebrate our students and the 20^th Anniversary of the Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy. This is proving to be a wonderful evening so don’t miss out as places are limited. Students and parents Yr 7-12 are invited to attend. See Ballet TV/Redlands Pulse for details.

Call for Raffle Prizes

If you are in a position to help the Friends of Ballet and Dance by donating a raffle prize for the Awards dinner, please contact Eva in the Ballet Office or just drop your donation into the office. All donations are kindly appreciated and acknowledgement will be made at the dinner.
