End of Year Ballet and Dance Concert
The End of Year Concert is on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 November at 6.30pm.
***Tickets for this years’ concert will be released on 23 October at 9am**
Please note that the program this year is different for the Wednesday and Thursday concerts. Please see your parent letter, Redlands Pulse or Ballet TV for details.
Student Achievements
Congratulations to Alex To who came 2nd in the 10U Classical Ballet and 3rd in the 10U Jazz sections at the Menai Eisteddfod.
Elina Filatova and Isabel Dong came 1st in the Jazz Duo (U16) at the Time to Shine Eisteddfods. Elina also came 2nd in the Contemporary section and Isabel came 3rd in the Ballet section. Well done girls!
Our new Dance Captain for 2019, Jennifer Psaroulis, was at Dance Life Unite Nationals where she was awarded 2nd prize for her Contemporary solo and Jazz solo. Ross Psaroulis won the 13-17 Tap prize and became the overall winner in the Tap genre section.
Summer Smyth received High Gold in all her solos at the View Dance challenge AU and she was also presented with the prestigious Judges Award – a Summer Intensive in Greece! Well done Summer and congratulations to all our fantastic Redlands students!
Enrolment for 2019
Our enrolment email went out last week. Thank you to everyone who has already replied. All parents (new and existing) should have received the email. We will need all responses by 26 October. Our Terms and Conditions and 2019 timetables are now on Redlands Pulse for Prep/Junior and Senior classes to help you enrol. If you did not receive the enrolment email, please contact the Ballet and Dance office on 9908 6461.
End of Year Ballet and Dance Concert- Volunteers
Would you like to help with hair and make up before and at interval at The Concourse? Please see Redlands Pulse for further details or come via the Ballet Office to learn more. You will need to have your Working with Children Certificate in place by the end of this term so please don’t delay!
We also need your skills (glueing/cutting/sewing/sorting/arranging) in preparation for the performances. Come and have some fun at our Sewing Bees. No need to have a WWCC – just a happy disposition! Dates are:
Friday 26 October from 8.30am-2pm
Saturday 27 October from 8.30am-5pm
Friday 2 November from 8.30am-2pm
Friday 9 November from 8.30am-2pm
Friday 16 November from 8.30am-2pm
Saturday 17 November from 8.30am-5.00pm – Hair 10.00-10.30am only; Make Up 10.30-11.00am only
We’ll meet in Parkes Hall. Saturdays in P1.2 and Fridays in the Ballet Studio.

Tickets are now on sale for our inaugural Redlands Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner. Don’t miss out as places are limited for this annual event at Manly Golf Club on Tuesday 27 November at 6.30pm. Students and parents Yrs 7-12 are invited to attend. See Ballet TV/Redlands Pulse for details.
