Acknowledging Alumni Jennifer Psaroulis
A further acknowledgement of the contribution of alumni, Jennifer Psaroulis.
Jennifer graduated from Redlands in 2019 as the Dance Captain, with a strong background of contribution to dance. Given her outstanding performance throughout her schooling years, Jennifer assisted with the choreography in the End of Year Redlands Dance concert and, on the basis of her exceptional talent, was offered a position as a Dance Teacher immediately after graduation, a first in the history of the Redlands Dance Department.
During her tenure as a Dance Teacher, Jennifer displayed outstanding maturity as a choreographer and mentor which is borne out in the results of the solo and group eisteddfods, she was responsible for. These include:
- guiding and supporting 29 individual students in private lessons;
- choreographing 57 solo, duo and trio eisteddfod routines in total, all of which placed in at least one eisteddfod; and
- choreographing 12 group eisteddfod routines which consistently placed at eisteddfods.
In 2022, Jennifer’s ‘Senior Jazz Performers 1’ Group, which featured completely original choreography created exclusively by Jennifer, won the Extreme, Sydney and DanceLife Unite eisteddfods in succession, significantly contributing to the reputation of the Redlands Dance Academy.
All of these achievements were underpinned by Jennifer’s commitment and passion for her students and her mentorship and support, which the School acknowledges and thanks Jennifer for.
