Academy Classes

At the Redlands Ballet & Dance Academy we offer classes for Redlands House Juniors to Yr 12 students.

Here are our youngest Academy students, from Tuesdays Bambino Ballet class with Ms Samantha, demonstrating their beautiful 1st positions. Well done girls! Spots are still available in this class which runs  2.45pm-3.30pm. We would like to introduce Ms Maddy to the Academy. Maddy is a passionate dancer and dance teacher. As a dancer, she has been trained in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap, and Rambert contemporary techniques. In 2020 she was awarded the Excellence in Create Industries scholarship at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where she commenced her Tertiary dance training. In 2022 she graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) with Distinction. As an emerging professional artist, she is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the younger generation of dancers.

The below image is of Maddy being coached by Teraza Theodoulou at the ISTD Teachers Workshop that took place over the Easter Holidays in Sydney. Teraza is ISTD’s Lead Lecturer, Choreographer, Senior Examiner and International Ambassador.

Ms Maddy is Assistant Jazz teacher at the Academy and will be present in all classes run by Ms Vanessa.  She is also working with the Junior Jazz Performers who will be guest performers at the Dance Awards this year.

Dante Minassian (Yr 9) was invited to trial with The Australian Ballet School and has been enjoying every minute of his time with them in Melbourne this week.

RAD Exams | 17 & 18 May | Parkes Hall

Our senior students below are taking their RAD Ballet Exams next week.

Chookas to you all for your exams on 17 and 18 May! You are all prepared, now go for it and show off your love of dance.

Eisteddfod Rehearsals | Saturday 13 May | Parkes Hall

Students taking part in the below performance groups are required to attend rehearsals on Saturday 13 May in Parkes Hall.

Eisteddfod Results

Congratulations to Persia Wainberg on her 2nd place (7-9 Years Jazz Novice/Restricted) in the St George Eisteddfod on Sunday.

Put it in your diaries, Gala Arts will be returning to The Concourse at the start of Term 3 on Friday 21 July. 

Auditions close and must be submitted online by 6pm on Thursday 11 May – TONIGHT!
