American Youth Grand Prix (YAGP)
Dante Minassian (Year 9)

Dante secured a place in the final 25 of the top dancers for his age in the world and headed to Tampa, Florida to take part in the Youth America Grand Prix Finals during the holidays.
Many congratulations to Dante who has been asked to attend and try out the following prestigious schools to see if they are the right fit for him to attend full time in 2024:
La Scala (Milan, Italy)
National Ballet School of Canada
Australian Ballet
Below is a little behind the scenes peak of Dante preparing for the YAGP.
Dante was fortunate to be coached by the esteemed Martin James on his James solo from La Sylphide. Martin was Principal Dancer with Royal New Zealand Ballet, English National Ballet, Deutsche Oper Ballet and Royal Danish Ballet and was the recipient of a medal from Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark for his contribution to ballet and dance. Martin also joins our BADA director Gilly Revie as a Patron of the British Ballet Organisation.



Eisteddfods & Competitons
Congratulations to all of you who took part in Eisteddfods and dance competitions over the holidays. Some wonderful achievements!
Summer-Eve Smyth (Year 11): Summer performed at the IRBD and placed 1st for her Broadway Jazz solo.

Imogen Jeffery-Bilich (Year 10): Imogen performed at the Alana Haines Awards in New Zealand. Imogen was looked after and coached by Antonia Johnson and Teresa Johnson.

Juliet Whelan (Year 8): Juliet performed at the IRBD and placed 3rd for Classical Solo, her first time performing en pointe.

Ady Lee (Year 7): Ady performed at the IRBD and received a HC in Classical Solo and also performed in Melbourne at the Australian Cecchetti Young Dancer Awards.

RAD EXAMS – Sydney 1st Session
We have our Mock Exams for vocational RAD students happening soon, in preparation for the real thing on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 May. For further information please see our RAD Exams Pulse page.
Friends of Ballet & Dance (FoBD) Morning Tea Invitation

Friends of Ballet & Dance and Ms Revie would like to invite you to a Morning Tea on Friday 5 May. Please pop in for a cuppa and a chat. We really hope to see you then.

Gala Arts
Put it in your diaries, Gala Arts will be returning to The Concourse at the start of Term 3 on Friday 21 July.
Audition information will be available on Monday 3 April, and forms can be found on the Gala Arts Audition iLearn Page.
Email galaarts@redlands.nsw.edu.au to be added. Auditions close and must be submitted online by 6pm on Thursday 11 May.
