Students Achievements
A big shout out to Summer Smyth who has started her six week Intensive Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. Summer, who successfully auditioned to be part of the program, is one of the youngest Australians participating. Enjoy every minute and we cannot wait to hear more on her return.
Congratulations to our Senior Jazz Group who received a Highly Commended this weekend at the Sydney Eistedfodds.
Our second entry, the Senior Contemporary Group, competed in the Secondary School Contemporary/Classical Dance Group (Yrs 7-12) and went through to the finals. More on them in late August when they will be performing at the Sydney Opera House.
In the Individual performances this week at the Extreme Eisteddfods we had Jennifer Psaroulis who placed 1st in the Open Age Jazz Solo, Open Age Hip Hop Solo and 3rd in Open Age Contemporary Solo. Ross Psaroulis placed 1st in the 14 Yrs Open Tap Solo and Open Hip Hop Solo. Great work to all participants!
Congratulations to Yr 10, 11 HSC and 11 IB Curriculum Dance classes who have successfully auditioned to be part of the Independent Dance Festival in September at Inaburra School. Details for purchasing tickets will be provided closer to the event.
Please Note
This week is Class Watching Week. All parents and friends are welcome to watch classes on Tuesday 19–Saturday 23 June. Please note that this is a time change from previous terms. The children have been sent home with a note. It is a great opportunity to see the students showcase what they have learnt this term and also getting the students used to an audience if they are coming up to an exam. If you are uncertain what class your child is in, just call the office and we’ll direct you.
Last day of Term
Our classes will be on as usual on Friday 29 June. Please make sure your children take all their belongings with them when they leave for holidays. If you are already missing school uniform and/or dance gear, please take a look through the lost property box.
Winter Holiday Workshops
There is a lot of interest in the Workshops so please register now if you would like to attend. The following Ballet workshops will take place during the Winter holidays at the Ballet and Dance School:

The teachers that will work with the students during the Workshop will be Miss Samantha, Miss Maria and Miss Kate. The cost of each Grade will be $165 (charged to your account). Any students wanting to join, please email us and let us know!

Redlands Spring Fair – Saturday 15 September. There will be no classes on this day but some students will be performing as part of the day. Groups performing are still to be confirmed.
