Ballet and Dance
The Ballet and Dance Academy is very excited to welcome back students, as we resume a limited range of programs to be delivered face to face from this Saturday 13 June. The NSW Government recently announced Coronavirus restrictions were lifting for indoor classes in dance studios. This requires spatial and hygiene requirements in line with current health requirements:
- ten students per class
- one person per 4m2
- ‘Get in and get out ‘
- Cleaning protocols
- Maintain distance 1.5m
Parents and students will receive notification of any changes from remote to face to face classes.
Face to face classes:
- Senior Ballet and Character (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday)
- Senior Tap (Saturday)
- Senior Jazz (Thursday only)
- Junior grade 5 Ballet (Yr 6 students)
- Junior grade 4 Ballet on Tuesday only (Yr 5 students)
Online classes:
- all Preparatory School classes
- all Junior School classes with the exceptions above
- all Senior Contemporary and Jazz classes with the exceptions above.
Further details of specific classes and together with the required restrictions for students and parents here.
The Academy has followed the The Principles and Framework for Restarting Dance Activities Post COVID-19, developed by Ausdance QLD in collaboration with the Ausdance National Network and BlakDance.
