New Learning Hub Opened
On Monday there was a lot of excitement amongst Secondary School students and staff when they returned to their On-Campus Learning. They were welcomed to their first classes in the state-of-the art facilities in the New Learning Hub, providing teaching and learning spaces for English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Innovative Design and Visual Arts. In addition there is an educational space for sustainability subjects on the roof-top garden.
Please click the photo to watch a video which captures the excitement of the very first day in the New Learning Hub.
In the coming months, the Student Services area in the John Roberts Centre will be completed for occupation by the Secondary School Office and Year Advisors, and the outdoor area from the edge of the Learning Hub to Gerard Street will be landscaped. The Donor Recognition Wall with 340 family plaques will create a permanent feature at the main entrance to this building.
We greatly appreciate the support of all our donors since 2014 when the New Learning Hub Appeal was launched. Due to the generosity of the Redlands community, our campus has grown to its current size.
Legacy Gift of Class of 2020 – the tradition continues
The Class of 2020 has been proudly supporting the Redlands Foundation Scholarship Appeal. The cohort have collectively decided on purchasing a ping pong table to be situated in the green space around the New Learning Hub for all current and future students to enjoy plus contribute funds to the Redlands Foundation Scholarship and continue the legacy of previous cohorts.
The first fundraising initiative the team are working on is a Yr 12 tea towel, featuring students’ hand-drawn faces. You can pre-order these wonderful gifts as well as a traditional Redlands tea towel online and support our Yr 12 cohort, please click here. These gifts will be ready for collection in Term 3.
Congratulations to the Legacy Gift team and the Class of 2020, a great effort!
