Back on Campus

Laughter, smiles, friendship and reconnecting defined this week in the Prep School. The staggered return for our learners was a huge success, with most days having over 80% of students on campus from each Year Group on their scheduled days. Using Seesaw and Zoom as our main learning platforms proved successful, whilst having some outside lessons where students were able to run, play and investigate was the icing on the cake. Lunch times were filled with laughter and games that had been missed by all. Teachers were thrilled to see their students again and some even commented that a few of our learners had grown just a little taller! I had set myself a challenge to get to know the names of our learners each day. Time will tell if I am successful in this venture but I look forward to the challenge again next week.

Thank You

Thank you to all parents who have been so patient throughout the drop off and pick up times this week. We review our processes each day and we appreciate your feedback and understanding while we try to make the current logistics work even better for our community.

On behalf of the Prep staff we would like to thank the Class Parents Group who provided the staff with delicious treats this week. We were all so humbled with your generosity. They certainly didn’t last long in the Staffroom.

Week 4 On-Campus Learning

Please find the staggered schedule below for Week 4. The same procedures will be in place for drop offs and pickups and also for our students whose parents are essential workers.

Temperatures will still be taken each morning. Please be aware that if your child’s temperature is 37.5 degrees or above, you will be asked to take them home and have them checked by a GP before returning. With this said, please consider the temperature in your car as you drive to school on these mornings.

Can I please remind all parents that from 8.00am the School Zone 40km/h applies. We would prefer you to be a few minutes late than cause an accident by rushing through the School Zone.

Although the last few weeks have posed their challenges, our teachers and parents have responded rapidly and positively to new ways of learning at home. Most importantly our young learners continue to amaze us with their resilience, problem solving ability and their ability to adapt to changes in their day routine.
