Redlands House/Transition Gold
There was a buzz of excitement in the Preschool this week as the children returned. It was wonderful to see the joy on faces as students greeted their teachers and were reunited with their friends. Thank you to all our families for following the drop off and pick up procedures, and for assisting us to keep the children and ourselves safe.
Week 4 On-Campus Learning
Please find the staggered schedule below for Week 4.
Temperatures will still be taken each morning. Please be aware that if your child’s temperature is 37.5 degrees or above, you will be asked to take them home and have them checked by a GP before returning. With this said, please consider the temperature in your car as you drive to school on these mornings.

Parent Teacher Interviews
Later this term, you will have the opportunity to meet with your class teacher for a brief discussion on your child’s progress. In these strange and uncertain times, we feel it is important to have a time to meet face to face with staff, instead of an individual Storypark post. This time will allow us to celebrate their success and raise any concerns. Bookings will be made with your child’s teacher via the School Interviews website. Details will be advised later in the term.
Crunch and Sip, Morning Tea and Lunch
Just a reminder that each child has three breaks for food in the Preschool each day – Crunch and Sip, Morning Tea and Lunch. Can we please ask that these containers are clearly labelled with the child’s name and are placed in the appropriate location at the beginning of the day.
Crunch and Sip: Crunch and Sip is a break during class time when the children can refuel on a fruit or vegetable snack only and rehydrate with water. The Crunch and Sip break gives children the opportunity to eat the piece of fruit that might otherwise be left in their lunchbox. Children are also more likely to eat their fruit or vegetables and drink their water if their friends and peers are all doing it too! We ask that you provide this snack in a separately labeled container or zip-lock bag and place it in the basket on the sink in the classroom storeroom. Drink bottles will also be kept in here and the children will be able to refill their bottles at the sink as they need.
Morning Tea and Lunch are stored in separate containers in the fridge. Each class has a fridge door to open. Morning Tea containers are kept in the class basket in the fridge and lunch boxes and stored on the shelf.
Please remember that we are an Allergy Friendly Centre (ie. allergy aware) and have a number of children with serious allergies. Therefore, we ask that any food your child brings to Preschool does not contain nuts or traces of nuts or shellfish. We have a number of resources containing nutritious and well-balanced lunch box ideas available in our parent library in the foyer for inspiration.
