Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal

Bright and early on Sunday last weekend, over 76 Yr 11 students participated in the Red Shield Appeal Door Knock covering the area around our school. At the start of the morning we were joined by The Honorable Trent Zimmerman, Federal Member for North Sydney. Six of our Yr 12 students, ably led by Hugh Smylie and Nono Nakamura, our Service Captains, also managed the counting-house processes at the conclusion of the day, reconciling receipts issued with donations collected. The total amount collected on behalf for the Salvation Army was $5,011.00.

Tanzania

The students traveling to Tanzania this coming holidays have completed all of the fundraising for their Service projects. They have raised an impressive $16,000 towards a range of construction projects they will undertake as part of their expedition. They are now in the final stages of preparations for departure, including getting shots, organising gear and fine tuning their Swahili language skills.

Busking for Breast Cancer

As you may be aware, on Saturday 23 June Redlands will be celebrating our vibrant community with the Redlands@Home round of sports at Macquarie. As part of the fundraising activities on the day we are calling for students and parents with some musical talent to volunteer half an hour to add some music to the day. We are looking to fill busking slots with all donated funds going to the Breast Cancer Network Australia. Also Redlands Community Support T-Shirts ($20) and Redlands Pink Caps ($15) are available from the Uniform Shop.
