What Do Lessons Look Like In Your Home?
The Music Department welcomes the Music community back after what we trust has been a relaxing time in which to reconnect with family and friends in many new and different ways. From Facetime through to quiet time with our family members, we hope this has been a wonderful time to appreciate, create and make music.
In meeting our goal to deliver online learning platforms for the Academic, Cocurricular and Extra Subjects Music programs, we are pleased to be supporting Music lessons for all students from Kindergarten through to Yr 12. This is inclusive of the Private Music Tuition program and Extra Subject Group Tuition, as we resume Rock Bands and Musicianship. The Music Ensemble program (Junior and Secondary School) will be delivered via Google Classroom and iLearn.
We would like to acknowledge the Redlands ICT Department for collaboratively working with Music staff in preparing, facilitating and supporting virtual learning environments in readiness for Term 2.
Term 2 Remote and Online Junior School Performing Arts
The Music Department is pleased to resume the majority of lessons and ensembles on the Junior Campus. This is inclusive of Private Music Tuition, Group Tuition and Music Ensembles.
In providing a range of musical learning experience and resources, and in reconnecting with Junior Campus students live via either Zoom or in Google Classroom, we look forward to supporting the students in their music-making at Redlands.
Please refer to the guidelines that have been issued by Heads of Section to ensure this is a safe and productive online experience for our students and tutors.
Live Video Conferencing with Students via Zoom Guidelines
Prior to accepting a Zoom invite from a Redlands staff member, you are required to accept the online guidelines which have been developed by the School and previously been emailed to Junior Campus Private Music Tuition families. These have been constructed to ensure that we are all mindful of the responsibilities we all have when using an online tool such as this platform.
In addition for the Private Music Tuition program, parental permissions are required. If parents are yet to complete this authorisation, please click on this Google form.
Please note that the only Music Ensembles we will not be running at this stage are Preparatory Choir and Preparatory Strings.
