What Do Music Lessons Look Like In Your Home?

From Our Youngest to Oldest Learners

“…every success story is a tale of constant adaption, revision and change…”. Richard Branson

The Music Department would like to finish this term by acknowledging the collective power of participation and contribution as a school community. In light of the rapid events concerning COVD-19 and the sudden changes to our teaching and learning landscape, we would like to thank the students, the parents and all of our staff in working together collaboratively, in preparing, facilitating and supporting a virtual learning environment.

We recognise and understand the important role of the parents in this process, and we thank you for your patience, suggestions and support as together we deliver the various components of the Redlands Music program.

On reflection at the end of the school term, as we contemplate on our journey this past month, the Music Department takes great pride in meeting our new goals to deliver online learning platforms for the Academic, Cocurricular and Extra Subjects Music programs.

Certainly, a significant effort by all members of our team, and one that demonstrates resilience, persistence and dedication. It goes without saying, but it is the spirit of cooperation and support as a Music community that has enabled us to get to this point, as we have all learned very quickly to become adaptive in this new environment.

In celebrating this dynamic new teaching space we would like to share with you some images of the ‘adapted’ Music classroom from our youngest learners of Music through to our most senior Music Elective students, taking a step inside the learning spaces of Mrs Anderson and Ms Brodie.

From the start of our Music learning journey through to the very end, both of these Music teachers exude immense passion, commitment and dedication to their craft. It has been wonderful to see these learning spaces come to life over the past few weeks and we hope this has been your experience in your own homes.
