This Redlands House/Transition Gold page will consist of general information from the Head of Preparatory School.
Friday 15 November Mufti Day
With the current devastating effects of unprecedented bushfires in NSW and further afield, the School will be holding a Mufti Day this Friday 15 November with students and teachers encouraged to support our rural fire services and affected families through donations. I know that the fires have impacted relatives of those within our Redlands community. Thank you for joining me in keeping these people and so many others in your thoughts in these coming days and weeks. As with all Mufti Days, please adhere to the dress requirements of closed-in shoes and sun safe clothing.
Concert Day – 27 November
On the Concert Day, students are asked to come to school in their Redlands Uniform and they will be given their costume. More details can be found in Upcoming Events.
Last Day Arrangements
The last day of the year for Redlands House students is Tuesday 3 December. Redlands House will close after the Prep School Concert at 12.30pm. Please note there is no Late Room on this day. The last day for Late Room is Monday 2 December.
Kindergarten and Transition Gold Orientation
On Wednesday, the 2020 Kindergarten and Transition Gold cohort visited the Prep School for their respective Orientation Days. The children happily rotated amongst all four classes where they were involved in a selection of activities. The teachers were impressed with their readiness for Kindergarten and their willingness to embrace all Prep environments. This day also provides staff with the opportunity to see how your child interacts and manages new people and places, so we can assist them with the transition from Preschool to school.
December/January Vacation Care
If you would like your child to attend the December/January Vacation Care program, please visit the Flexischools website and make a booking using the Redlands House Vacation Care icon. Bookings will go live from Friday 8 November 5.00pm. All calendars, information pertaining to activities and requirements can be found on the FlexiSchools website and Redlands Pulse. Please contact the OOSH coordinator, Trinetta Newbond, with any Vacation Care or After School Care queries.
Anglicare Toys and Tucker Campaign
Helping young children learn the joy of giving to others is always a delight. Preparatory School families have an opportunity to share the joy of Christmas by giving to the Anglicare Toys ‘n’ Tucker campaign. If you would like to be involved by purchasing a toy or special Christmas food, please bring in your gifts and either give them to your class teacher or place them under the Christmas trees in the Prep or Junior School Receptions. Ideas for items to purchase can be found below. Collections begin on Monday 18 November and conclude Tuesday 3 December. Examples of donations are:
