Nutrition Seminar – Redlands House
On Friday 1 November, we are delighted to have Kate Flynn from Orbit for You give a seminar on the importance of nutrition for children. Kate is passionate about educating people about their bodies and she regularly writes and lectures for major institutions on health and wellbeing. We all know the important role nutrition plays in a child’s physical and mental development. Kate will assist us to understand how to provide the best start for our children and develop healthy eating habits. The seminar will take place in the Lucy Hill Library, in the Preparatory School at 9.00am. We hope you can join us for this wonderful opportunity.

Every Little Bit Helps
K-6 Strings Concert
We are delighted to invite you to the K-6 Strings Concert which will be held at 2.00pm on Monday 11 November in Dunnet Hall. This concert will showcase students in all the Redlands Strings programs across K-6, including performances by the Preparatory String Ensemble, Yr 2 Strings, Yr 3 Strings, Chamber Ensembles, and the Junior String Ensemble. In addition to giving all students the opportunity to perform for an appreciative audience, it is hoped that younger students will be inspired by performances from their peers and gain an understanding of the opportunities that Redlands offers for strings players in their future years of study. All students will be rehearsing during school hours on Monday 11 November. Please ensure that your child brings their instrument and music to school on the day of the performance.
Seniors End of Year Concert
Bookings
As we approach the end of year, we turn our minds to bookings for the Redlands House Preschool Concert which will be held on 27 November at 10.00am. The tickets will be available for purchase from Monday 4 November at 9.30am until Monday 11 at 11.30am. Unfortunately, no bookings can be made after this time. To ensure equity, the number of seats will be limited to four per family.
Costume Requirements
- Each child will be wearing a tshirt supplied by Redlands
- Please dress the children in all white, no patterns stripes or logos, to accompany the tshirt – either shorts, skirt or pants
- Could all girls please wear their hair pulled back off their face
- White socks
- Clean shoes
Rehearsals
To ensure we start our concert rehearsal on time, we ask that children arrive at Preschool by 8.45am every Wednesday morning. On Wednesday 20 November we will have a full dress rehearsal, please have the items labelled in a bag at Preschool prior to this date.
Concert Day
All children are to arrive at Redlands House by 9.00am. The Concert will start at 10.00am and finish by approximately 11.00am. The children will return to Redlands House for a normal day. Should you wish to collect your child early, please do so from Redlands House, signing them out as per regulations.
